What to Expect During the Office Visit
- During the scheduling process the office staff will ask some simple questions about the issue you want addressed, and will ask about any insurance you may have. A referral from your doctor is often NOT required for the visit
- Once you have made an appointment the office will send out paperwork, including a medical questionnaire. This information is necessary to help get any potential procedures covered by your insurance
- For you appointment you will be asked to bring a pair of loose fitting short pants to make it more comfortable for the physical exam and ultrasound. If you do not have shorts a pair of paper shorts of gown will be provided
- At your initial appointment you will meet Dr.Locastro. He will review your medical history and perform a physical exam.
- If necessary he will perform a diagnostic ultrasound of your legs. Most offices require a separate appointment to schedule this as well as ANOTHER appointment to go over the results. Dr.Locastro often does this all at once.
- Dr. Locastro will then review the results of the information from your history, physical, and ultrasound with you.
- If a procedure is recommended he will explain it to you in detail and answer any questions you may have
- If you decide to schedule an appointment the office staff will start the insurance process to help get your procedure covered.
