What to Expect During the Office Visit

  1. During the scheduling process the office staff will ask some simple questions about the issue you want addressed, and will ask about any insurance you may have. A referral from your doctor is often NOT required for the visit
  2. Once you have made an appointment the office will send out paperwork, including a medical questionnaire. This information is necessary to help get any potential procedures covered by your insurance
  3. For you appointment you will be asked to bring a pair of loose fitting short pants to make it more comfortable for the physical exam and ultrasound. If you do not have shorts a pair of paper shorts of gown will be provided
  4. At your initial appointment you will meet Dr.Locastro. He will review your medical history and perform a physical exam.
  5. If necessary he will perform a diagnostic ultrasound of your legs. Most offices require a separate appointment to schedule this as well as ANOTHER appointment to go over the results. Dr.Locastro often does this all at once.
  6. Dr. Locastro will then review the results of the information from your history, physical, and ultrasound with you.
  7. If a procedure is recommended he will explain it to you in detail and answer any questions you may have
  8. If you decide to schedule an appointment the office staff will start the insurance process to help get your procedure covered.
